Our next DJ and Supporting Indian Summer from day one (playing Techno last year as UBEEK on the Cargo Stage)....

Not many current DJs originate as dancers from the sweaty club dance floors of the early 90s northwest England, who then go on to show a clear passion and progression in music from DJing, Music production, Pressing vinyl, to training the new DJ’s of tomorrow. Whilst Carl’s ever growing desire to deliver near perfect sets at live crowded venues internationally continues, Carl Cameron pushes set boundaries having just completed a 100 track Pure Piano set which, with other sets, stand out in the flooded yet affluent current old skool scene of the UK today.
Carl has been part of the old skool act Pianoman, for over 3 years, with close friend James Sammon. Taking the brand from strength to strength, constantly delivering new remixes and tracks with electric live DJ sets and full Live PA show.

Carl still has a busy DJ schedule for 2019, playing the UK and internationally, Playing as himself and with Pianoman, as well as guesting for Royal House in Ibiza and Indian Summer, still showing the variation DJs require in the current music industry.

Carl passes on his experience and skills by training new and old DJs, instructing under Pro DJ Training UK teaching the DJ basics, scratching and music production via his team to all.

Finally, New Vinyl EPs are brought to market via Carl’s label Vinyl4djz delivering new vinyl for the turntablist collectors and DJ’s thus rounding off a very talented DJ and business man.

We welcome Royal House and Carl Cameron to Indian Summer.

Since debut sets at the secret and smashing the back doors out of last years old school tent aswell as many other gigs and now new radio show this lad just keeps bringing it set after set, one of our resident djs catch him on multiple stages.

What started as a hobby as a 15 year old in his bedroom has now grown into playing festivals, his favourite clubs and presenting his own radio show. However, it almost wasnt to be.

Between the mid 90s and 2009, playing old skool piano, breakbeat and jungle techno was very much a sporadic thing and definitely just for my own amusment. It was in 2009 that life took over, I moved in with my now wife and my decks and records were stored in the loft.

An out of the blue message in December 2017 gave me the opportunity of mixing again with the prospect of playing outside of home for the first time. I couldn't say no. 6 months later, I played at a now good friends party - my first ever public appearance. Guesting on a radio show and winning a mix of the month competition in between really boosted my confidence and pushed me on.

Since then I have played for some wonderful events. I've played for Free2Dance multiple times including at the inaugural Indian Summer Festival. The Classix in Manchester with Mark XTC and friends. The Secret alongside Pete Monsoon and Jason Formosa. The Time Machine's New Years Eve event with Luksta, Bad Panda and LFO to name a few. There have been multiple guest slots on various radio shows on HouseMasters Radio, House Heads Radio and Mayhem. It was this experience that pushed me to set up my own show playing new and upfront techno with a darker, harder edge on HouseMasters Radio.

Now fully confident playing on any format, not just vinyl, he is looking forward to once again playing Indian Summer Festival across multiple stages and also event like O5R at Joshua Brookes. Its certainly been a whirlwind year. Heres to many more.
